"At the age of twenty, your face is the way nature created it. At the age of thirty, he is what life has shaped him to be. At fifty, it's what you deserve."
We fully agree with the world-famous statement of Coco Chanel, because after the teenage years, we must not neglect our facial skin, and we must pay even more attention to its care and, of course, to the long-term preservation of its beautiful, youthful state. In the later stages of our lives, we have to face another problem, which is nothing more than a decrease in skin turgor and hydration and the appearance of wrinkles. The formation of the process can be prevented with the appropriate methods and can be reduced with today's modern tools and treatments. Hyaluronic acid provides a solution for this.
Hyaluronic acid can also be found naturally in the body, primarily in the skin, but it is also present in connective tissue, muscles and joints. A hydrating, flexibility-providing substance that is essential for the healthy functioning of these organs and tissues. Thanks to its ability to bind water, it makes our skin more flexible and firm. This effect is very noticeable, since hyaluronic acid can bind up to a thousand times its own weight in water!
Thanks to these small molecules, we can say goodbye to dry, dull, gray, cracked skin full of small wrinkles, as its internal hydration increases, so the facial skin becomes flexible and soft. However, in addition to the aesthetic benefits, hydration also has another important role: it strengthens the skin's natural protective layer, which helps, for example, to protect against free radicals and pollutants found in the environment, as well as the proper functioning of the immune response against certain superficial bacteria.
Many types of hyaluronic acid are used during various aesthetic interventions, depending on the molecular size. This data determines whether the product is suitable for a surface treatment or filling a deeper wrinkle. In connection with the field of application, we can distinguish two large groups in practice.
The first group includes treatments that improve the structure of the face as a whole and increase its hydration. A good example of this is the non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid injected into the skin during the mesotherapy procedure or the skin quality improvement product Juvederm Volite, which can hydrate the skin internally for up to 9 months. Many people would not even think that with these methods, not only the face, but also the décolletage and hands, which have been neglected for a long time, but which have increasingly become the focus of interest in recent years, can be moisturized, small wrinkles can be filled in, and the turgor of the skin can be increased.
The other large group is made up of different areas of face sculpting. These are performed with different types of stabilized, cross-linked hyaluronic acids, concentrating on one region or problem to be treated. With this method, static wrinkles, which are considered one of the biggest enemies, can be filled, that is, the folds that are visible even without the movement of the facial muscles. A common area of indication is the nasolabial fold, i.e. the fold between the nose and the corner of the mouth, as well as the Marionette wrinkle, which most people know as the so-called "sadness wrinkle" under the corner of the mouth.

The amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases already at a young age, starting in the 20s, which is followed by a decrease in fat tissue. Unfortunately, this results in noticeable changes in the middle third of our face - the face looks sunken and tired and the circles under the eyes also become more pronounced. Similar changes can also be seen in the event of a large weight loss. This loss of volume can be corrected in both cases with high-quality, special volume-filling hyaluronic acid. With the procedure, not only can the face be made youthfully full, but it also has a general lifting effect. The zygomatic arch, chin tip and jaw angle can be treated in this way, but lifting can also be used effectively to reduce the size of the socket.
A special area of application is the correction and filling of the circles under the eyes (so-called tear through), as well as the contouring, enrichment, volume increase or hydration of the lips, which we have already reported in detail in a separate blog post. Moreover, the filling of scars caused by surgical interventions or injuries can also be solved with high-quality hyaluronic acids.
The treatment is relatively painless, as an anesthetic cream is used if necessary and depending on the treated area. In addition, it does not take much time, as it takes 30-60 minutes including consultation and anesthesia. We then release all our patients with special information about the material used and the treated area. Redness and bleeding at the injection site may occur as an undesirable side effect, but following the advice of our expert, the speed of absorption can be increased, so it can disappear in a few days. In addition to bleeding, temporary swelling and, very rarely, an allergic reaction may also occur.
The effect of hyaluronic acid filling becomes permanent in one to two weeks, so a control examination is recommended two weeks after the treatment. The developed effect usually lasts for 6-12 months, but this varies from individual to individual, as each person's metabolism is different, and the individual characteristics of the lifestyle (e.g. frequent tanning, sauna use, smoking), as well as environmental pollution all influence the durability of the effect. However, it is important to emphasize that a condition that is generally more favorable than the original one becomes permanent after the above period of time has passed. As can be seen from the many indication areas, the application of hyaluronic acid is multifaceted. We consider it important to emphasize the need for minimal interventions and prevention, since maintaining a better condition is always easier and simpler than correcting an obvious problem. Therefore, the time of the first injection is not age-related.
Whether it's hydration, face sculpting or wrinkle filling, we always strive to preserve naturalness and improve the existing skin condition while taking into account the patient's individual characteristics, ideas and goals. To this end, of course, we only work with the best quality hyaluronic acids (Juvederm, Teosyal, Filorga), since our patient's satisfaction is our main motivation.
